Discerning the intent of another, whether it's a person or a spirit, can sometimes be difficult. When meeting with spirits, it is wise to test them. Even if they seem good and light, this isn't always the case.
Dark spirits make themselves known
Theodore appears with his clipboard in hand. "Good morning, Ms. Bessire. You're late."
"I'm late? What time do I need to be here?"
"4:30."
"Oh boy." I've been told to write before dawn, which is currently 5:41am.
I think of getting up at 4am. Currently, my alarm goes off at 4:20 and I'm up about 10 minutes later. Followed by a short morning routine of bathroom, brushing my teeth, drinking water, and doing Donna Eden's energy routine. My computer is already ready for me, with a new file opened. Then, I sit to write, I pray, and we start. Today I started at 5:00am. "Okay."
Theodore looks older today. And tired. I don't understand why...he's a spirit. Do they get weary? I didn't think so. Last night, I also wondered why Theodore appears in regular clothing and not in white, like the other spirits do. Is he in spirit prison?
I see the line of people and the spirits in front of me. There's a hushed silence among them this morning, and a large man comes and sits down at my table. He's dressed like a gladiator, wearing metal armor. He's big and muscular, holding his helmet on his knee.
"Good morning," I say.
He's also quiet and shy.
"I'm here because I killed a lot of people," he starts. His demeanor is heavy and somber.
"My country was always at war. We killed the Christians for their beliefs, for not succumbing to our ways. We were wrong."
He pauses, and is quiet for awhile. He speaks slowly and I wait patiently, wondering if I'm not as tuned in as I normally am.
"I don't know what to do here. I don't really know who I am. I feel so out of place."
I stop writing and close my eyes, deciding to just have this experience in my mind first, and then return to write after, so that I can focus better.
I mentally set aside my laptop and give my full attention to this large man. He looks like a sad child.
But then, as I reach out to him, I see that flicker...his countenance briefly changes, and there's a dark spirit there. I sit back and dismiss him. We're done here.
He gets up to walk away, and I see a pointed tail sticking out of the armor.
I sit back, withdrawn from the world of spirits and back into my room, to pray and receive guidance and understanding.
What was it that Theodore told me to make sure it's really him?
