The Bible is full of the elements. The waters of baptism, the sacramental bread, the fire that is the Holy Ghost. The elements are how God creates. They're how he created you, in a specific combination that is not random. It is a map. It is the guidepost God built into your body for how you are meant to live, create, and move through the world.
Elements in the Bible
The Bible is full of elements.
Water — at the very beginning, the Spirit moved upon the face of it. Water in baptism. Living water that Jesus offered the woman at the well.
Fire — the Holy Ghost descended as tongues of flame. Moses met God in a burning bush.
Earth — the bread of life. The sacrament broken and shared. Jesus himself compared the kingdom of God to seeds, to soil, to harvest.
These aren't metaphors chosen at random. The elements show up again and again because they are the language of creation. They are how God communicates, and how he creates.
And here's what I've been receiving on my morning walks: you are made of them, too. Earth, fire, air, water, in a specific combination that is uniquely yours. And that combination is not random. It is a map. It is the guidepost God built into your body for how you are meant to live, create, and move through the world.
When your life feels stuck, or scorched, or formless — it's not a character flaw. It's a composition problem. And the elements themselves – which are intelligences – already know the answer.
The Element Journey
I’d like to take you on a journey with me. A journey through conversations I’ve had with the elements, and the incredible truths they have revealed about who we are and how we can perform miracles as Jesus did. Back in Episode 37, the earth shared how Jesus walked on water. We’ll start with part of that story. Listen for how the elements speak, and the warning about seeking and finding.
Out at a local park, I prayed and asked to receive an understanding of how the earth communicates. I have been told to talk with the earth and learn her voice.
The answer came first as an understanding, and then I heard a female voice. The voice was within me, but not in my own mind. More like it resonated within my body.
The earth speaks through feelings and awareness, much like the spirit does. You are made of the same materials as the earth is made of. We are both alive with spirit, but in different ways. If you listen to yourself, you are listening to me. I can guide you and direct you if you will ask. I know the composition of your being, the types of energies of which you are made, and what those energies need to be sustained and to thrive and to flourish and to grow and to be.
Everyone is a balance of the elements. The Chinese are masters of the elements, as were the ancient Druids. They understood the different elements. If you know how to master yourself, you know how to master the elements. If you know how to master the elements, you master yourself. This is how Jesus walked on water, and how you too can perform what seem to be miracles but are only lawful actions that are beyond your current understanding.
Now…specific guidance, and a warning!
Expand your awareness. Talk with the different elements within and without and ask them to teach you of themselves. See what the wind has to say, and the fire. Everything carries messages. Everything is communication. Everything is seeking and being sought. All is intelligence. All has wisdom. The question is, is it the wisdom that you desire? Is it the wisdom that will lead you to where you want to go? Not all wisdom is worth seeking for. What you know in your heart to be true is the light to follow and the guidance to start with. Seek within and seek without. All is in both places, all is reflected in both ways.
We are here to overcome all things, and to learn to use our agency to choose and to act for ourselves. The more we understand our elemental composition and what our bodies need, the better we can overcome and act.
Mastering the elements
How, then, do we master the elements? This next conversation with the earth will help to answer that question.
I stood on the side of the path, facing the clump of wildflowers and the trees. I asked the earth a simple question: How do I create a structure of warmth?
You move me.
How do I move you?
You ask.
What is a structure of warmth?
It is a building of earth designed to protect from wind, from air, from rain.
So it is earth protecting from air.
Yes. Structures of warmth also retain air to create the warmth. They modulate the flow of air. They give guidance and direction to the air to create the space desired. Structures of warmth know how to move and to allow things to flow in their proper order and their proper way. When you work with the elements, you can create all that you desire.
How do I ask the Earth to move to create the structure of warmth? Do I simply ask for what I desire to be created, or is there a different way to ask?
Ask with your heart. You must ask in purity and in kindness. You must never ask through coercion or attempts for personal gain. Anything that will constrict will not result in the desired outcome. The earth, as all elements, is here for the good of all, in all, through all. For the light is in us. You must ask in purity and with purity, with kindness, with reverence, just as you would ask yourself and others. Is not this the best way to ask?
Yes. It is.
Thank you. Is there something else you have to share with me right now or something else that would be wise for me to ask that I am prepared to receive?
Ask how to create from a place of security.
How do I create from a place of security?
You must be secure in your own heart. You must know that regardless of the outcome, you are always secure no matter what happens and no matter what you experience.
That feels beautiful.
Yes. It is. It is sublime. It is truth. It is beautiful. It is difficult.
Feeling secure when it seems like you are about to fall is difficult, but sometimes the fall is what brings the security you seek. Simply allow all things, accept all things, embrace all things no matter how evil or dark they may appear.
Remember what your Savior taught. Resist not evil. If someone wants your coat, give him both. If someone slaps you on the cheek, turn the other cheek. Resistance only makes the fall painful, and it breaks you. If you fall without resisting and you are supple, do you not bounce? Be as a little child. Bounce. That is all.
What would you create if you knew you were always secure? Where are you resisting in your life, and what would it look like if you could bounce like a little child would?
Are your elements stuck?
The last story of our journey is about the interaction of the elements, specifically about fire. Here’s where we get to hear how the Holy Ghost transforms us and makes us new creatures in Christ.
I’ve once again come to Sunderbruch park for a conversation with nature. It’s chilly, so I’m walking on a path and feel impressed to stay out in the sun. The sun starts to teach me.
It tells me that the sun only scorches things if there is not enough water. It is not by the sun by itself that causes the scorching. It's the combination of the heat and the lack of water. The elements are yours to master. Learn how we interact with one another, how we dance and play to create.
I return again on a warmer day, one where I can stand in the sun. As I'm standing here with the sun, parts of the sun, like flames of the sun come and stand beside me, and they surround me and tell me, we will keep you warm, which sounds wonderful because I'm a little chilly. I ask the sun to teach me about fire.
Fire needs the air. Without air, there is no fire. The air is what gets the fire going. If your fire is low, increase your air.
You need circulation, breath for there to be fire. Fire is the energy that brings life. It is the force of creation, the initial force. How do you want things to be created? You can have a big bang, which is a large amount of air and fire, or you can have a slow ember.
Fire destroys, but fire also creates. Fire transforms. It takes the energy of one thing and turns it into the energy of another. People are afraid of fire because it destroys, but it does not need to be feared. It can actually be harnessed and used in your own life and within your own being.
This is the power of creation and of transformation. This is what the Holy Ghost does. Some things that are built up sometimes need to be broken down and recreated, and this is what fire does. However, this only happens with air, which means there must be movement in life. Otherwise, things aren't recreated. They simply rot. They stagnate, and they stink. If your life stinks, then you need movement.
Message: The imbalance in the elements is the problem. Not the sun or fire itself, but fire without the right amount of water. This doesn’t just apply to plants, it applies to us, too. How do the elements in YOU interact? What is excess? What is depleted? This is why energy work is so powerful, it seeks to bring balance. The body hold information. What is yours telling you today?
A message for the few
Now, if you’re still listening, that means you have ears to hear, and I have an invitation for you. This is from the wind. She gave me instructions for my own life, and she also shared this message:
Thank you for taking the time to listen to me. There are not many who hear my voice and even fewer who choose to listen. I want others to hear my voice as well. I know there are many who will be able to start hearing me soon. They are coming you know. Just like the tree wanted to know what happened to all those who could commune with them. They are returning. Their days are coming again. In fact, there are many like you who are just not quite ready to step forth. As you share, so will they. It will remind others that they have these gifts as well. There are many who are seeking.
Are you seeking? Do you feel like you could have a gift like this? Then come join my Skool community, where you can discover your gifts in a supportive, encouraging, and playful group!
