Hi it's Jen. I want to share with you some thoughts that can help you overcome your challenges with money. And most people have problems around this area.

We tend to be full of beliefs that there is a lack of money and that there is never enough.

And if you continually harbor these beliefs and these thoughts, that's exactly what you're going to experience in your life.

And this can be a really challenging area for people to change because it requires a lot of faith and a lot of practice of strengthening our faith and our belief, not only in ourselves and the things that we're capable of, but also in the laws and the power that we have to be a creator instead of just reacting to those things that happen to us in our lives.

So let's talk today a little bit about the beliefs that you do have about money, how you know whether you're in a state of lack or abundance with money, what that looks like, and where that probably came from. And then also most importantly how to fix it so that you can enjoy an abundance of financial resources in your life just like any other area of your life.

So let's start by taking a look at your present circumstances. And in addition to that your thoughts and your feelings around money. If you are in debt, if you are incurring more debt, if you are living paycheck to paycheck, if you have no or minimal savings and no or minimal money saved up for retirement or in investment accounts anywhere, then it's probably safe to say that you have challenges around dealing with money and your beliefs about money.

It is not a normal state of being that has to be where we live in lack with finances. And this state of being is not one that anyone who is in has any desire to be in, and we all want more money and not because we just want money. It's because money is literally the currency that we use for trading goods and services in our world. And so it's not about having money.

It's about what the money can do for you, what experiences it can give you, and how it allows you to express yourself in the world.

You can't give something that you don't have. So if you would like to be very charitable and giving from a financial standpoint, you can't do that if you have a perception of lack and if you can barely pay your own bills. It's about being more and more self-reliant in your ability to provide for and to care for yourself, your family, and your household. And then extending that so that you can help bless the lives of others.

So take a look at your current setting, your current environment and state regarding your finances and be honest with yourself about where you are. Do you have the money that you want to live the lifestyle that you want? Do you have the money for car repairs when you need to do that? You have the money to do repairs and updates around your home? Do you have the money to pay for health care services that you need or to send your children to college or to get them braces or to pay for them to enroll in sports activities? If these are things you want to do but you don't have the finances for it, then you have some sort of challenge with lack perception with money. And like I said, most people, do this is very, very common. And this is a huge thing we could probably spend an entire week long seminar talking just about changing - assessing and changing our perceptions around money.

So to get an idea of why you have the beliefs that you do it's important to look back to your environment that you grew up in. I want you to think for a moment about the things that you heard in your household about money when you were a child and even if you have children yourself now, listen to yourself. Listen to the things that come out of your mouth to your children about money and finances.

How often did you hear, "Well we don't have money for that." "We can't afford it." "There's no money in the bank." "That's expensive." "What, do you think I'm made of money?" Whatever variation on money that relates to lack it may have been in your household. And like so many other of our beliefs that we have there are things that we have heard over and over from our environments as we grew up and unless we stop to assess our current situation and question these beliefs we continue to repeat the same patterns. So you can tell you're repeating the pattern by first looking at your environment but then stop and think about what you heard in your own environment growing up.

And, in addition, what do you tell yourself about money? When it gets to be the end of the month, or the end of the pay cycle, however often you're paid for the work that you do, if you're getting low, do you find yourself worrying that you're not going to be able to afford what you want? Do you find yourself thinking how cheaply you can get things for to tide you over until that next paycheck comes in? These are all symptoms of lack.

And the problem is that whatever we continually think, feel, and believe we will continue to create in our life.

So as long as you continue to have thoughts of, "I don't have enough," you will continue to experience not having enough moving forward into the future.

So this can be an extremely challenging thing but you need to learn to train yourself, instead of looking at your bank account with eight hundred dollars in it and feeling and feeling fearful because that's not enough, ignore the amount that's in your bank account and envision in your mind and think about it as having tens of thousands of dollars or millions of dollars or whatever amount it is that you actually want.

Now of course this does not mean go on a spending spree and spend money that you don't have. But you can spend money in your mind. You can go pretend shopping and pretend investing and pretend charitable giving and think about how you would use that money. How much money do you want and need coming into your life on a regular basis? What do you want to use that money for? Do you want a new home or a new car or new clothes? Do you want to send your kids to college? Do you want to be able to donate more money to charities? Do you want to be able to create your own charitable organization?

Think about how you want to use that money and start managing the money that you have as best as you can right now. If you can't manage the small amount that you have right now you're not going to be able to manage a bigger amount. The same habits being in place will create the same results regardless of the amount of money coming in. There are people who are broke who only earn $15,000 or $20,000 a year. And then there are people who earn millions of dollars a year and they are still broke. It's not about the amount of money that's coming in per se it's about what your beliefs are about money. How do you feel about money, how do you think about money, and that determines what comes to you and how you use what you have.

So take a look at your current environment and get an idea of how much you're in a lack or an abundance mode around money. Think about the beliefs the statements that you heard over and over growing up in your household and even the ones that you might be using in your own household, or the way that you talk to yourself in your own mind whenever you think about money.

Train yourself. And here's the challenging part. Start training yourself to think about money differently even and in spite of the realistic lack of it. This is the key to having health, abundance, wealth in all areas of your life.

Stop looking at your current results and saying, "well this is the way it is," because it will continue to be that way. Create what you want your results to be in your mind. Think about what you want and then talk about things that way. Think about things that way. Start to believe that that is the way things are. It's just a matter of the money coming to you. The money is there. It is abundant. Just like physical and emotional health are abundant. Just like food is abundant. Everything that you need has been provided for you and is available for you.

We have to train ourselves to start attracting that to us. And when we come from a place of abundance where things are possible we open ourselves up to receiving. We feel more at peace. We feel more calm and we are more open and we allow the goodness and the abundance to flow to us. So when you go out to the store, for example, and you see something you want but you don't currently have the finances for it, instead of saying, "I can't afford that," or "I don't have the money for that, or, "Gee wouldn't that be nice if I could buy that," train yourself to say, "I am so happy and grateful now that this is mine." That's it.

"I'm so happy and grateful now that this is mine. I'm so happy and grateful now that I have the money to buy this and to pay cash for it. I am so happy and grateful now that I invest 20 percent of my income every month into the stock market. I'm so excited now that I donate at least 10 percent to charity every month. I'm so excited that I pay all my bills six months in advance."

Think about what you want with money. And every time you feel a fear or a lack replace it instantly with a thought and a belief of having what you want. This takes much discipline and much practice and it can be a challenge to do if you're surrounded by other people who don't agree with what you're doing they might think you're a little crazy. So you may not be able to make the statements out loud, you might just have to do it in your head.

But think about what it is that you want in terms of financial abundance. Write it out. Describe it. Write down how much money you're earning every year, every month, every week, every day. Think about what you want to do with all that money now that you have it. What are you going to invest it in? What are you going to spend it on? How are you going to help others? And then start thinking in your mind about what a blessing it is to have that money right here and right now.

And continue with this process over and over and over and you will start to see that things will change in your physical world relating to money. Like all things it takes time and practice and patience. So when you don't see instantly within a week a change in the amount of money coming to you, don't fret about it.

Have faith that the laws work, that the process works, and strengthen your faith and your belief and keep thinking about what you want. Always focus your thoughts on what you want. Give thanks for what you want. Express gratitude that you have things and that you have them now, in the present.

You are capable of doing more, being more and having more.

Have a blessed day and share this with your friends and family who might need a little help changing their perception around money as well.
