Spiritual lessons from nature: creation and Jesus Christ

 May 22, 2025

Discover spiritual lessons from nature and how creation and Jesus Christ bring light. An early morning visit with the prairie reveals important spiritual lessons on choosing, the nature of spaces, and creating from the spirit.

I'm at Sunderbruch Park, just shy of 7am. It's a beautiful, gorgeous spring morning. The red-winged blackbirds are, as always, noisy and very verbal. I'm standing on a mowed path facing a prairie field. The field was mowed down in the fall, and now there's new growth welcoming the warmer spring weather.

Meeting the guardian of the prairie

I'm here to talk to this new growth to find out what it is like for it in spring. I want to hear what they experience and what they can teach us about life and creation and Jesus Christ.

“Oh, we are so excited. We love the spring."

"Oh, yes. We love the spring so very much!”

“Life and air and sun and warmth. Winter is cold and dark and dreary, and while it is important, we love the spring.”

As I look out, I sense all of these small plants shooting up like little beams of light, like they're jumping up and they're really excited. Kind of like when you have a whole bunch of younger kids who want to share something, and they're all jumping and raising their hands to talk.

An adult human appears and stands just off to my left facing me in the prairie.

He's like the man I met when I was talking with the wind a number of years ago in my backyard. This spirit is sizing me up to determine my intentions and if it's okay for me to be here. He's the guardian of this space. I simply stand and wait, facing him. After a short time, he gets a big smile on his face and taps me on the shoulder, and we're good.

Now we can begin.

God creates from spirit, not from fallen earth

The spirit speaks:

"Every space has a protector and a guardian. Every space has a name and a place and a purpose."

"The purpose of this place is to bring forth life and to sustain life, and to teach you of the ways of Jesus. As you continue to come here, you will learn more and more that you will share with others, and it will help them to learn more and more."

"You are here to help others create. To learn the laws of creation, but not the laws of creation as man teaches creation, but the laws of creation as nature and as God creates. The spirit moved upon the waters. The spirit brings life. The fallen earth does not bring life. The spirit brings life."

Nature teaches that we create life to progress, or to die

"Without the spirit, there is no life. Do you have the spirit in your own life? You know because you feel happy and joyful and expansive and light. If you feel dark and heavy and sad, that is not the spirit of life. It is still a spirit, for all spirits bring energy and life, but not progression."

"You could have life leading toward death and dying, or life leading toward progression. Life is a circle and a spiral. Creation, upbringing, progression, moving forth. The land that you see before you is creating life because it is progressing and moving forth. It grows in the spring."

"The light comes out. The warmth comes out. It returns to life, and it grows and progresses. It brings forth all that it has as much as it can, sharing and working together that all may grow and create the beauty that you will witness in a few months' time when there are flowers and color and birds' nests and all of the many things that you cannot see deep within the soil. It is all life."

"What are you bringing forth in your own life that is life? What are you creating? What are you producing by yourself and with others?"

Create with the body's innate wisdom

"You know, 'yourself', that which you call 'you', is teeming with life. You think of yourself as one individual, but you are not."

"You are a conglomeration. Every cell within your body has intelligence. Do you not see how your body cares for you and does all the things that you need on a daily basis without any thought required on your part? Your body is wise. Tune in to the wisdom of the body and create with your body."

"Adam and Eve were given dominion. It is not for you to dominate your body. It is for you to create with your body, to rule in love and righteousness, love unfeigned."

"These are the principles of priesthood given to all who follow my Son with faith and according to the commandments. When you go into the church, when you go into the temple, when you go into the house of Lord, you are endowed. You are given the gift of this power. It is a sacred power."

The endowment gives more power to create

"All are given the power of creation, but your bodies allow you to create more bodies, not just through sexual reproduction, but through the things that you do with your words, your thoughts, your hands. This is creation. But when you are endowed, oh, how this power grows and expands."

"It is an honor, and it is a gift to be used with wisdom. Each must seek after this power and this wisdom and these truths. For while the principles are the same, the way that they are expressed is different in each individual according to their gifts and their station, their calling and their purpose."

"You, Jennifer, have a calling and purpose of teaching others how to bring life and light into the world, of teaching others the truth of creation through Jesus, the Christ, the Redeemer, the sacrificer of all things, the Savior of all, who is in all and through all, who was before all and will be after all, who subdued all things under his feet, and who will help all things to rise again, who will bring all things to fruition, to completion, to close. There are cycles that have been going on for millennia before this Earth was."

Time, polarity, and the purpose of light

"There are cycles of time, time, time, time. Ah, the principles of time. Time in your space gives you the appearance of linearity so that things appear to move in one direction, but this is not so. Your mortal minds have a veil that they cannot fully comprehend it, but time moves in all directions. In all spaces and in all ways, it is ever flowing back and forth, in and out, up and down."

"Polarity is contained in one whole, in one round. The experience of polarity does not cease in the spirit world. It is presented and offered in a different manner, a different structure. It is a hexahedron, a pure one, not a dodecahedron. The dodecahedron offers the space."

"The hexahedron is the time within the space, given to create life and light. Food, money in all its forms, these things are not inherently bad, for no thing is inherently bad. However, all things are created with different degrees of light. Some progress and move toward the darkness, while some progress and move toward more light. You are here as a human being on Earth at this time to learn to choose."

Choosing bit by bit, in a nonlinear system

"What would you choose? More light or more darkness? Each choice brings you further and further in the direction of one or another. This is how Satan works. This is how Jesus works."

"The principle is the same, it is simply the direction in which you are moving. Bit by bit, strand by strand, there is compounding as well. At some point, the bits by bits become bigger and stronger and more powerful, exponential, compounded in faith or compounded in fear."

"You can return from fear to faith by choosing bit by bit, and yet sometimes if the compounding has been extremely strong, a larger jump is needed. This is seen within the principles of chaos theory and self similarity."

"The atoms jump. Your spirit can jump. Your being can jump. Not all is always linear. There is nonlinearity."

"The nonlinearity allows all to permeate all. This is the truth. This is the truth that sits in your heart and in the heart of all those who seek for me and who find. It is the truth that sets man free. Creation will set you free."

Creating good brings light

"Creation brings light when you seek to do that which is good. Bring forth the truth that sits in your heart. The key is the heart. Open your heart. Open, open, open."

"Open your heart by seeing me in all things, by allowing things to touch you."

"When you have had trauma, you close your heart so that you fear. You don't want to be touched because it is painful, but even in that pain, there I am. Seek for me in your pains. Come to me in your pains."

"Sit with me. I will take them. I will transform them. I have suffered for you on the cross and in the garden, that I know what you need. I have been around for millennia, for more time than you can fathom, that I may know what you need."

"I am Love. I am in all, and through all, and with all, even in your trauma, and your pain, and your suffering, even in the worst pain and darkness that you can fathom, I am there. It is the principle of turning toward the light. This is why nature is so glorious. She turns, turns, turns always to the light."

Jesus calls all toward the light

"Do the same in your own life, my child. Turn, turn, turn toward the light. Not light as the world teaches, but light as the Scriptures teach, light as the Gospel teaches. When you seek after Jesus, you will find the light. It is not as important where, but it is more important that you come unto that light."

"The light will lead you. Everyone's path and needs are different. Let the light lead. Have peace. Do not judge or condemn others for their light."

"Allow them to have it. Suffer them to be free in their own way."

"Did Jesus not heal others in different ways? The woman at the well was healed in her way. The blind man was healed in his way. The lepers were healed in their way. The woman with the issue of blood. Were they not healed differently?"

"Let me heal each of you differently. Come to me. Sit with me. Be with me. Find me in your heart. Find me where there is peace. Find me in the scriptures."

"Find me in the hymns, in the slow, in the mundane, in the everyday life. There is beauty in all of these things. There is glory all around you at all times. That is all."
