Becoming one with God is not for the faint of heart. It is a lifelong process of learning and growth. Yet, getting started is simple. All we need to do is to choose.
Thursday, 1:15pm, I'm at Vander Veer park, sitting against a Liriodendron tulipifera tree. It's early May, and I'm enjoying a beautiful afternoon outdoors.
I desire to talk with the tree, to receive a story of healing and of Jesus Christ, of the nature of all things. As usual, I have come with blanket and laptop. I sit under the tree and pray, first to Heavenly Father. Then, I speak to the tree and declare my desire.
All is part of the One
First, I hear a deep male voice:
Prepare to receive, o daughter of the King!
Then, this comes from a softer female voice:
See the space in your heart, where you and I are not far apart. I am a tree, and you are a human, but we are both part of the One. The One that is in all and through all and made all. In the beginning, all was One. The One divided itself into Two, and this dance began!
Now you, we, all, we are all here to learn to dance. To love. To create. Not by ourselves or for ourselves, but with and for each other. Create with vigor and joy! Create with your husband. Create with your friends. Bring to pass much good in this world, with others, for others. Dance.
What does it feel like, this dance?
Exquisite. Peaceful, calm, horrible, fun, free. All the things life can be and feel and share. But when two become one, it is divine!
Jesus Christ helps us become One
Tell me where Jesus the Christ fits into the One and into creation
Ah, yes. Without him, there is no union of two into one. Without him there is only division, remaining separate and apart. He is the glue, he is the Way, that joins Two into One. Find him, follow him, if you desire to be one with the One.
Why do so many deny who He is?
The way is not for all. It is only for the true seekers. All who seek will find. All are meant to find, and all will find. But not all desire this oneness. It requires intense purification. It is difficult and painful. Most would rather avoid pain at all costs. Sadly, they do not realize the pain they are already in.
Do you sit in this pain, and require purification, too?
I do not have awareness of pain. I sense oneness and peace. I light the way, and send out the call for people to come home. To return to the One.
You hear and know because you desire to be with him, and have been seeking for much time, and have found the Way. This is why you have been called, chosen, have chosen, to call to those who are looking, just like you were.
It's a nice sunny day, warmish, although I'm wearing jeans, and brought a jacket with me. A breeze comes by, and it's cold.
Did you feel the breeze? Yes. I was cold.
I do not feel the breeze. I sense the hot and the cold, I am aware of the polarity, but I am not in it like you are. It is in the polarity that one finds what one is seeking for. It must be, so that all men can choose. I do not choose. I simply am.
Polarity and choosing to become one with God
It was interesting to hear the tree say that it is not in the experience of polarity like we humans are. But another tree shared the same truth.
I am grateful for the polarity. Many people question why there is so much suffering on earth. But the suffering is there to give an experience and to show the way to light and love. Without pain or darkness, how would you know good and light?
Becoming one with God is a process of choosing the light, bit by bit, day by day. This is what I have done in my life, and continue to do each day. I know that as you choose God in little bits each day, you will experience more and more light and love in your own life.
