Learn To Let God Lead

 April 20, 2024

God doesn't want us to suffer. He wants us to experience joy and happiness, now, in this life. That happens when we're able to surrender our hurts and failings. We can choose to trust God, and learn to let God lead.

God is your Father in heaven, loving and compassionate. He adores you! Why would he not? He created you!

We all must experience trials in life. It's part of the plan. There are opposites, and we are given the gift of agency so that we can choose between these opposites.

When we choose something that leads us away from God, we experience challenges. Of course, we also experience challenges when we experience darkness at the hands of another.

But, thankfully, even in darkness, we can learn to find light and love. I promise that God is there, always with you, and wanting you to choose Him.

Receiving revelation from God

It's 7:00am, and I'm sitting at my desk, on a Zoom call. I'm going through a personal development lesson with about 20 other devoted individuals. We gather to watch a training video, write about our impressions and our goals, and then share something we learned.

A few minutes into the video, this poem just started. It was almost immediately followed by a second one that had the same major theme of letting God lead.

When the Spirit speaks to you, write those things down as soon as possible. I've found that if I wait, the revelation generally doesn't come again.

Learning to let God lead

What we think we know, and what we’re taught in our youth, is only a starting point to Truth. If we want to know the mysteries, the deeper Truth of all things, we must learn to follow Christ, and to go within, and to trust that inner voice that leads us.

This process takes time, for we have to let go of things that our families and our culture promote as truth. We become like the spawning salmon, swimming upstream. Remember, the truth is never with the majority.

We can often feel like we're surrounded by darkness and confusion. But these things are not Truth. If we can learn to let God lead, He will bring us to light. Everything that is good and is light is of God.

Honestly, I think that all humans, at their core, are searching for goodness and light. The opportunity we've been given here on Earth is to learn to discern what is truly good and light, and what is not. There is a lot of false light.

In my experience, discerning between false light and true light is about noticing how I feel in response to things. I don't mean the bodily response, necessarily, but the way my heart and soul responds. Sugar may make your body feel good, but what does it do to your heart?

This process requires first being able to tune into your feelings. If that's scary to you, then start there, slowly and gently. As you get more comfortable acknowledging, feeling, and expressing what you feel, it will be easier to recognize God as he leads you.

Let Me Lead

Take my hand and let me lead,

I’ll show you the way.

The thickets and brush and briars and brambles

Are not there to spoil the day.

The path is narrow1, the way is fraught

With obstacles galore.

But when you follow Me, my child,

I’ll lead you safely to more.

My way is easy, my yoke is light2,

But most men don’t believe.

They think that struggle and toil and plight

Are their destiny.

Adam was cursed, Eve as well,

And even the Earth to suffer3.

But those words weren’t proclaimed by me,

They were given by another.

I allow, and create and guide

The good things and the bad.

Society must learn the truth,

And there’s only one way that can be had.

Evil and opposition both must be,

To make the way complete4.

Yet remember the choice is yours to make,

Seek further, and find the true Me.

My truths have been hidden and buried deep.

The scriptures, they aren’t wrong.

But full of misquotes and half-truths,

And men’s understanding has long gone.

I seek to bless and not to curse

All those that I do love5.

Hardship, suffering, toil and death

Were made, but made with love.

The harder way, the thickets flush,

Are meant to warn and teach.

To show you there’s another way,

Even within your reach.

Stop the struggle, stop the search,

For things that make life hard.

Work you must, and effort exert,

But ease and grace get you far.

Follow the example my Son did give6,

Put one foot in front of the other.

All things were made for your support,

Not to hurt another.

The way is easy, and light, and fun,

When you know my Truth.

Not all will make sense to you,

But trust Me and follow suit.

Christ knew all, and suffered some

So all could know My will.

He has already paid the cost7,

Why do you suffer still?

The Atonement, dear child,

Was made for all,

And freed all men from sin.

All that’s required is to change your ways.

Repent, and follow Him.

1 Mark 7:14.  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

2 Matt 11:29-30  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

3 Gen 3:16-19  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

4 Law of Polarity

5 James 3:8-10  But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

6 Matt 16:24  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

7 Romans 5:10-11  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
